The Indian Embassy in Kuwait will be closed on Thursday, 19th August 2021 on account of Muharram. However, emergency consular services will be available, Embassy said in a press release.

Meanwhile, the Embassy continues to provide all necessary assistance for free transportation of mortal remains of Indian nationals who passed away in Kuwait. The facility is extended to cases where the sponsor has refused to bear the expenses and/or family members cannot meet the expenses for transportation of mortal remains.

Community members can submit an application at the Death Registration Counter of the Embassy to seek this assistance, and the application will be cleared within two hours, Embassy informed.
