MoE discussed return to school plans; Final decision expected tomorrow

The Ministry of Education held a senior-level meeting to discuss the plan of return to school for the next academic year 2021 - 2022. The meeting held under the Minister of Education Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf was attended by the Undersecretary Dr. Ali Al-Yacoub, assistant undersecretaries, directors of educational zones, and several senior officials, local Arabic daily Al-Rai newspaper reported.

The meeting discussed the efforts made by each sector, developing a practical plan that includes support mechanisms to ensure the safe return for students. The meeting also discussed the steps to prepare schools to receive students for offline school.

According to report, other points discussed includes the application of social distancing, provision of sterilization capabilities, requirements related to vaccination of all school workers, preventive measures and guideline long with health requirements, etc.

The Kuwait Cabinet is expected to discuss the points on Monday, August 2nd and a decision on the return to school procedure is expected to finalize soon.
