KMWA conducts 'Eid Cultural Get together' online program.

Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA), a subsidiary of Indian Muslim Association (IMA) organized an online Eid get-together event in coordination with Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for the Indian residents of Karnataka residing in Kuwait, on Thursday, 22nd of July, 2021. With the current pandemic restrictions on outdoor entertainment, the online event was designed to provide an alternative source of all-round edutainment for the entire family during the Eid holidays.

Ten days prior to the event, KMWA organized a kids competition for children aged 5-12, across three categories: Qirat, Nasheed and Elocution. The competition received an overwhelming response from talented children across the state of Kuwait, and the winners were announced by the 20th July, 2021 as follows:

Qirat Competition (Age 5-8)
1st: Bushra Mehak
2nd: Abdul Rahman

Qirat Competition (Age 9-12)
1st: Maryam Khanam
2nd: Mariam Ameeruddin

Nasheed Competition
1st: Mariam Ameeruddin
2nd: Abdul Rahman

Elocution Competition
1st: Simra Raheen
2nd: Hameeda Farheen

The online Eid get-together kick started with a montage of the performances by the winners and runners-up of this competition, followed by an announcement, much to the delight of the audience, stating that every participant would receive a gift and certificate, thanks to the sponsors Ministry of Awqa and City Clinic Mahboula. The host then gave a brief introduction of KMWA and its activities before moving on to the main highlight of the evening - a presentation on “How to motivate children to study and families to manage home during pandemic” by the renowned speaker Mr. Hashmatullah Khan, Founder CEO Corporate Trainer and Master coach of Renovate Mind, Engineer by profession with a Masters degree in Psychology, and is a practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Mr.Khan enthralled the attendees with productive and beneficial tips for both children and parents alike, before addressing academic related questions from the concerned parents. Later on, the viewers were given an opportunity to win fabulous prizes via a live online quiz. With the most correct answers Mrs.Saima snatched the first place and Mr.Saad came in at a close second. The event was finally concluded with the vote of thanks from the president of KMWA - Abdul Naser Khan.

Overall the entire event was very well received leaving the audience desiring for more.
