Kuwait to achieve community immunity by October

As per the current indication, Kuwait will achieve community immunity by October, local reports says. With the World Health Organization declaring that the organization's main goal is to vaccinate 70 percent of the population in each country by September 2022 to control the epidemic, health sources expected that Kuwait will achieve this percentage of vaccination during next October.

Achieving Community Immunity requires immunizing an estimated more than 3 million people to reach 70 percent of the population of Kuwait. Currently the national campaign to vaccinate Covid-19 is close to completing the provision of 3 million doses in Kuwait.

With the availability of vaccine, the pace of the vaccination will continue in the coming months of August and September to achieve the desired goal of reaching community immunity next October, sources said.
