Private hospitals can import Corona vaccine, clarifies MoH

Kuwait's Ministry of Health on Wednesday denied rumors that were spread on social media outlets about the ministry denying private hospitals from importing coronavirus vaccines.

The Ministry of Health issued a circular on February 24, 2021, authorizing hospitals, health centers and private health clinics to purchase approved COVID-19 vaccines.

In the same context, Union of the Owners of Private Medical Professions affirmed that importing medicines and vaccines must go through franchisees and registered medical companies, therefore, private hospitals can only give vaccines if provided by the those companies in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
