About 8000 people deported in the first half of 2021

The Ministry of Interior deported 7,808 residents from Kuwait during the first half of 2021.

The General Administration of Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior stated that the deportation was carried out for various reasons, including violating the residence law, committing criminal cases, traffic violations and other issues.

Authorities said that the security campaigns will continue in the country to maintain peace and order and called on citizens and residents to cooperate with the security authorities.

The sources also said that currently about 700 deportees are in the deportation center awaiting deportation to their countries, mainly form Sri Lanka and Vietnam where the airports are currently closed.
