Sunday, June 20, 2021

Ministry of Public Works suggested to close down the Derwaza Al-Abdulrazzaq tunnel located at the intersection of Ahmed Al-Jaber and Mubarak Streets in the capital and fill it and restore it at an estimated cost of one million dinars.

The road intersection on the tunnel was closed for the past many months as a crack was found on the tunnel.

Quoting Minister, Arabic daily Al-Anba reported that it was decided to adopt the final and radical solution, which guarantees public safety and the speed of reopening Derwazat Al-Abdul Razzaq intersection for traffic, by canceling the tunnel, canceling and shifting all the mechanics, electrical and water pump rooms inside the tunnel, as well as blocking the slopes in the four directions to avoid water pools.
