Deportation for repeated driving violation

The General Traffic Department planning to deport expatriate for repeated violation of reckless driving. As per the current procedure, the repeated violators are seized for 48 hours and their vehicle will be impounded for two month. Local daily Al Rai reported that the authorities are planning to refer such cases to the court with an imprisonment ranging from one week to 6 months if he is a citizen, and deportation in case of expatriate.

The repeated reckless driving by some violators are endangering their lives and the lives of others, which usually result in death or serious injury, report said quoting authority.
