India has appreciated continuous relief support from Kuwait, says Kuwait Ambassador to India

The government and people of India have appreciated continuous relief support from Kuwait to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, Kuwait Ambassador to India, Jassem Al-Najem said on Wednesday.

A press release issued by the Embassy of Kuwait in Delhi stated that “As part of Air and Sea Bridge operation between India and Kuwait, fifth Indian Navy Ship Tarkash arrived Tuesday night on June 8, 2021 at Mumbai port carrying 785 Oxygen Cylinders during the third phase of its medical supply.”

This emergency Medical supply operation between India and Kuwait is under the third phase and will continue to meet the urgent oxygen requirements in India.

So far 425 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen and 3800 oxygen cylinders has arrived at the Indian ports during the first and second phase of Medical supply.

External Affairs Minister, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will be reaching Kuwait today on a three day official visit to discuss the ways of strengthening cooperation between both the countries in various fields.

It is worth mentioning that during the recent joint telephonic conversation on May 28th, 2021, Sheikh Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait with Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, has renewed the State of Kuwait’s stand and cooperation with the Republic of India to supports it’s effort in combating the pandemic and on it’s part India appreciated the goodwill gesture and close bilateral ties between two friendly countries.
