Care for Kerala - Kuwait 2021. Donation of Medical Equipments to Kerala

Care for Kerala - Kuwait 2021 mission team leaders met H. E. Sibi George at the Indian Embassy on 19th May 2021. The mission was a collective response to the appeal made by the Chief Minister of Kerala to Non Resident Keralites all over the world to support the state in handling the COVID crisis. N. Ajith Kumar, Saji Thomas Mathew, Noushad C.K. and Sam Pynummoodu were
present in the meeting.

The Indian community in Kuwait responded overwhelmingly towards the mission. As a result, 2 x 20 FT Containers with medical equipment has been procured and will be sent to Kochi Port on 23rd May, 2021.

The shipment includes -
• Oxygen Cylinders 348 Nos
• Oxygen Concentrators 100 Nos
• Regulator 250 Nos

It is our pleasure to announce that the Indian community in Kuwait has donated medical equipments worth INR 1 crore
25 lakhs towards COVID relief in Kerala.

The materials collected have been declared to be customs duty free by Hon. Government of India. These items are consigned to Kerala State under this scheme. Kerala Medical Services Corporation will receive the materials for the Govt. of Kerala.
