‘Knowledge of language is the doorway of wisdom’

Smart Indian School celebrated the English Language and World Book Day on 22nd April 2021, to develop love for reading among children. Words are our attachment, and our endearment. The children were led to take a moment and celebrate English! and there is no friend as loyal as a book. It was a chance to share their pleasure for reading and taking part in activities.

The day was packed with a plethora of literary activities encouraging reading and writing skills among students of Primary, Middle and Senior school.

Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. Grade one and two started off their day by learning moral stories and discussing ‘Importance of English’.

Learning becomes more delightful and diverting when one holds their own book. The students of grade three to five revealed their love by making booklet with self-designed cover page. With pencils, crayons and paintbrushes they drafted their masterpieces.

Grade six to ten, enthusiastically made posters. Creativity is just connecting things. They artistically expressed their sparking ideas and gave wings to their imagination through illustrations.

Smart Indian School thus celebrated this day to cheer the world of imagination, inspiration, fiction and fantasy in young minds of all age groups.
