MoI issue amnesty for illegal expats till 15th May

The Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al Ali issued a Ministerial decision to extend the amnesty period for expatriate residence violators. The period of amending the status of residence violators is extended from 15th April to 15th May 2021.

This decision comes with an aim of giving expats more time who have illegally overstayed and not renewed their residence to amend their status before the new deadline.

The Ministry of Interior calls upon residence violators to take advantage of this opportunity without fail and amend their residence status to avoid legal consequences before the deadline expires.
