Life-size portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar unveiled at Indian Embassy

Indian Ambassador Sri Sibi George unveiled a life-size portrait of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the Embassy premises on Wednesday, April 14th, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of Republic of India.



Inaugurating the function, Ambassador spoke about the pivotal role played by Dr. Ambedkar as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution in producing the Constitution which laid the framework for peaceful governance, development and progress. Pledging to rededicate to the cause of the nation, Ambassador read out the Preamble of the Constitution.



Earlier, Ambassador paid floral tributes to the statue of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Officers and family members of the Embassy and members of the Indian Community in Kuwait also paid floral tribute.

The event was well attended virtually by people from different walks of life in Kuwait.
