Municipality plans to reinstate side parking meters

Kuwait municipality has requested the Ministry of Interior to restart the parking meter system for side vehicles parking in the capital, local daily Al Qabas reported.

Many of the vertical parking meters for side car parks in the Capital Governorate were damaged, which led to the parking of vehicles for long periods, and the exploitation of the owners of the corresponding shops for other than the purpose for which they were intended.

In order to ensure the optimal use of these positions and preserve the aesthetics of the capital, Municipality instructed the respective teams to repair those meters and install it in other streets in Kuwait City such as Al-Salhiya and Fahd Al-Salem Street, and many more Other vital streets in the capital, report said.
