Monday, February 22, 2021

The Environment Public Authority EPA and the Ministry of Interior signed a memorandum of cooperation today, according to which the authority's employees will test the emission ratios of vehicles at the inspection centers of the Ministry of Interior before renewing the car book.

The Environment Public Authority's employees will be at the vehicle inspection center to ensure compliance with the required requirements.

"There will be integration between the two sides to ensure car exhaust, as each car will be examined separately," EPA Director General Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad said on the sidelines of the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of Interior.

As per the new arrangement, the Environment Agency employee must approve the vehicle's emission ratios before the renewal of the license plate.
