Inevitably, summers of our youth transit into seasons of life. The tapestry of my life seems to acquire a myriad of hues with every year that passes by contributions from the people I meet , the places I visited and the experiences I accumulate. Writing about this Arab region where I was born and brought up for 18 years brings in an avalanche of memories .

I still reminisce the young childhood memories of this sojourn in my life the delicious Arabic cuisine, especially hummus and falafel ,the beaches,KDD ice creams, Avenues, 360 mall, date palms, Kuwait towers….Ohh and yes, how can we forget shawarma !

How our Arabic school teachers used to teach us some old Arabic dance steps when we were young , how we used to sing the Kuwait National Anthem with vigour and brimming with enthusiasm.

Ugh, I’m amused by the opulence and grandeur of this land

Kuwait is a country that provided it all…

At the beginning of the seventeenth century, Kuwait was established as a small fishing village with a very low scale population. But with the passage of time at the end of eighteen century Kuwait's position began to flourish and it became a major trading point .

From the day of its independence, Kuwait has made great tread on the roads of progress and prosperity which are based on friendship, peace, and mutual co-operation.

Usually, on this day children throw water balloons and spray with their water guns at each other , they also have the face paintings with different designs, but now , Amidst this struggle due to which our world is facing grim days , this unprecedented quandary that had banjaxed all schedules , and with the new variants , life is no more the same . However, its our collective responsibility to take care of ourselves and those around us.

On this day ,let us also remember and honor people who laid their lives to make this country better.

Happy 60th Kuwait National and Liberation Day !

India is in my blood, but Kuwait, Kuwait will always be in my heart…
Shukran Kuwait !
