Committee to discuss 1% tax proposal on money remittance

The Legislative Committee will discuss at its meeting next Monday a number of issues on its agenda, the most important among is the imposition of fees on financial transfers outside the country, local daily Al-Qabas reported.

According to report, the proposal suggest 1% of the total remittance as remittance tax for all remittances making abroad from Kuwait.

Earlier several such proposals were submitted by parliamentarians for taxing remittance done by the expatriates working in Kuwait.
