MoI to launch intense security campaign to catch residency violators

As the deadline to amend the status of residence violators is ending on 31st January, Ministry of Interior is preparing to launch the largest security campaign to arrest the residence violators who refused to take advantage of the deadline given to rectify their status.


According to the report, very few residency violators only utilized the opportunity given to rectify the status. Reports suggest only 5,000 violators took advantage of the grace period. Whereas the latest report suggests, the number of residency violators reaches 1,80,000 in the country. This proves that they don’t have the intention to amend their status. The security campaign planned by the Ministry will take strict strict action against those violators.
