Kokan Welfare Society, Kuwait (KWS), conducted Annual General Meeting

Kokan Welfare Society, Kuwait, conducted its 8th Annual General body Meeting for the years 2019 and 2020 Virtually on Friday, 01 January 2021 via zoom platform.
The meeting was attended by its elite members in large numbers. The AGM started with a beautiful recitation of the holy Quran by Maulana Javid Karjikar.
KWS President, Mr. Salim Desai welcomed all members to the AGM, giving an overview of KWS activities, he briefed about the work done by KWS in the past two years. He went on to explain his experience of last 5 years being president and requested everyone’s support for the next team to be elected.
Mr. Mohammed Shafi Alware, General Secretary conducted the AGM proceedings in a very professional manner and presented his reports for the years 2019 and 2020. KWS Treasurer, Mr. Labib Fakih presented the audited financial reports for 2019 and 2020.
The election commissioner appointed for this AGM, Dr. AbdulRazzak Rumane was overwhelmed by the applications received for the EC positions and accepted all applications by increasing the number of positions as KWS activities are also increasing and the community needs more working hands.
Based on the nominations received, following members were elected for the year 2021.
Executive Members elected are; Mr. Abrar Amanullah Shirshikar, Mr. Anwar Ayyub Mhalunkar, Mr. Ashfaque Ismail Solkar, Mr. Atif Azim Khanzada, Mr. Farooque Hasan Badey, Mr. Farooq Mohamed Kasim Jogilkar, Maulana Javid Mohamed Eshak Karjikar, Mr. Mansoor Ibrahim Dalwai, Mr. Mohammed Salim Kazi, Mr. Mujahid Ahmad Mulla, Mr. Ridwan Abdul Rahman Mullaji, Mr. Talib Ali Rumaney and Mr. Yaqub Abdul Latif Solkar.
The two women cell committee members elected are Mrs. Humera Parvez Wadekar and Mrs. Rukhsana Labib Fakih.
Honorary positions are given to Mr. Salim Umar Desai (Ex Officio President), Mr. Mohammed Saleh Burud (Patron), Maulana Nisar Daroge (Advisor) and Dr. AbdulRazzak Rumane (Advisor).
KWS felicitated members from the working committee who have performed in an exemplary manner. The awardees were Mr. Labib Fakih, Mr. Parvez Wadekar, Mr. Faisal Jogilkar, Mr. Talib Rumaney, Mufti Hamza Mujawar, Mr. Anis Mukadam, Mrs. Rukhsana Labib Fakih and Mrs. Humera Parvez Wadekar who were presented with momentos.
The meeting was conducted very smoothly and concluded with a mesmerizing Dua by Mufti Hamza.
