KDNA celebrated Christmas & New Year

Kozhikode District NRI Association (KDNA) celebrated Christmas& New Year through Zoom Application. Contrary to the earlier times, it was held this time through Zoom, in the context of Pandemic. Indian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Sibi George inaugurated the function. KDNA president Ilias Thottathil presided over the function. In the beginning of the program, tributes were expressed to the personalities from various fields who passed away in Kerala during this time and the people who lost their lives worldwide due to the Pandemic. Program Coordinator Suresh Mathur extended welcome speech & advisory Board member Zubair MM administered Zoom program technical aspects.

John Simon, Asst. General Manger of the Association’s sponsorship partner Al Mulla Exchange Company was the chief guest. In his chief guest address, he refreshed the memories of Malabar Mahotsavam & expressed that Al Mulla Exchange is proud to be associated with KDNA. Ayyoob Kacheri, Director, Grand Hyper Market facilitated over the function and congratulated KDNA for its activities and for its family culture. Also, various personalities from socio-cultural area of Kuwait attended the Zoom event.

Advisory board members Krishnan Kadalundi, Basheer Batha, General Secretary Sathian Varoonda, Vice Presidents Aziz Thikkodi, Zaheer Alakkal, KDNA Women Forum President Lina Rahman, Gen. Secretary Asheeka Firos, Abbasiya Area President Abdul Rahman, Fahaheel Area President Raoof Payyoli, Farwaniya Area President Mansoor Alakkal, Salmiya Area General Secretary K.T. Sameer etc. made felicitation speeches. Treasurer Santhosh Punathil expressed vote of thanks.

On the arts program, well known singer from Kerala Prakash Mannur rendered songs. Also, Rafi Kallai, Sameer Vellayil, Basheer Batha, Anas Puthiyottil, Dharmaraj, Rithuparana Nair, Thulaseedharan, Rishi Kesh Nair, Shahina Zubair also rendered songs. The different dances were performed by Thara Thulaseedharan, Dharmitha Raj, Sasha Santhosh, Salfa Rahman, Mariyam Shada, Andre Mariya Jins. Krishnan Kadalundi, K.T. Sameer rendered poems. T.M. Praju and Sajitha Nazeer were dance coordinators. Shaheer EP supported the technical aspects related to Zoom.
