Traffic department begins technical inspection of vehicles

The technical inspection departments at the General Traffic Department started the technical inspection for vehicle renewal after about 11 months of gap due to Covid-19 pandemic. On the day one of starting the technical inspection, the department completed 1745 vehicles in all governorates.

Assistant General Director of Technical Affairs, Brigadier General Muhammad Faraj Al-Adwani, said that all vehicles that had expired its vehicle license validity on or after January 10 will be examined and subject to technical examination to ensure the vehicle is valid or not.

The number of vehicles examined on the first day reached 1745 vehicles in all governorates. Hawalli governorate ranked first with 485, and the capital governorate recorded 436, Farwaniya governorate 341, al-Jahra 218, and Ahmadi 265 vehicles.
