Indian Education School held the Annual Family Meet - Milan – 2021

Jleeb: The family as a universal social institution is a force that propels and channels energy into its members to fight against all the odds; fight as a single unit with love, hope, and fearlessness to show the adversaries that it is a force to be reckoned with. The family of IES, Bhavans Kuwait collected on a virtual platform on the 2nd of January 2021 to show that their indefatigable spirit can surmount any obstacles on its path by dint of camaraderie and unwavering determination.
The members of Indian Education School and Jack & Jill gathered in the virtual auditorium to welcome the year 2021 with hope to bring back the good old times. The day’s celebrations started off with a soothing prayer song by Ms. Lalitha Premkumar, Vice Principal, Primary and KG Wing. Ms. Hima Nirmal, teacher, the department of English welcomed the vibrant gathering. Ms. Jezy Joseph, teacher, the department of English sung the Milan theme song which was penned by Ms. Muneera. Mammikutty, HoD English, Primary Wing.
Thereafter the celebration whirled into an arcade of many a funny game to test the members’ mind reading, vernacular proficiency, and culinary skills. The fun-filled ‘antakshari’ game was the icing on the cake. The eye-catching dances and mellifluous songs by the members of the staff from different departments recreated a carnival mood that filled any void left behind, with hope and spirit. Ms. Anselma Tessy Judson, Vice Principal, Senior Wing, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal, Middle Wing, and Ms. Lalitha Premkumar, Vice Principal, Primary Wing-the dynamic trio behind the enviable success of IES left no stone unturned in the smooth conduct of all the games and events.
The day also witnessed a landmark in the history of IES as Widening Horizon; the monthly newsletter of IES has taken a new shape in the form of a web channel named as WH TV. Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East launched the first edition of WH TV amid high-spirited applause.
The meet ended with an inspiring story by Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES conveying the message that any situation alone does not dictate our state of mind; it’s the relative thread connecting us to the situations that dictates our state of mind. Thus, Milan 2021 with the motto ‘ONE SPIRIT, ONE TEAM, ONE MISSION’ was wrapped up with spirited words of blessings by Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East which would certainly equip everyone to come out of the abyss of uncertainties to the world of hope, peace, and prosperity.
