Airport closure is to avoid major risks, says Health Minister

The decision to close the airport came to avoid major risks that Kuwait may face, Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basil Al-Sabah said. Kuwait has taken all necessary measures and proactive steps to confront the emerging Coronavirus, he said. Kuwait had announced the suspension of its airport from today midnight for all commercial operations.

He added that there must be a serious and immediate decision to confront the mutated strain of Corona, which some countries have discovered.

The decision to close the airport is issued in the public interest to preserve public health and prevent the new strain of Coronavirus from arriving in the country. Minister called on everyone to understand the situation.
