A Spark of Hope

The moon as white as a pearl,
Striving to spread her charm.

A spark of hope,
Flashes through her.

A dream,
A dream to soar.

They told her not to,
They told her to just stay cocooned up in her sphere.

Despite the dark and scary clouds,
She willed to rise out.

Slowly, slowly
Then one day, she drew a crescent on the sky,
Her beauty, entrancing the people,
As they peered out to look.

She can never be confined,
Into the woven darkness of malice.

But, just once every month,
She hides and never comes in front.
That, has thought everyone her value.

She is the moon girl,
Part of her is always hidden away.

Alone she sits in the sky,
Guiding those who need her light.

And as she slowly grew,
As her magic spread to the world,
She became the blaze that could never be outshone.

Half a day for the sun,
And half a day for her,
Isn’t everyone equal?
Why…It’s the law of nature!
