Caged Bird

A bird fluttered her wings,
With freedom around, she breathed
Little she knew that it would be snatched the next moment,
Her owner approached
Locked her in a cage
And took her away,

Not to mention,
It was a caged bird
Whose wings are trimmed
Feet tied
Freedom faded away ages ago
Unless she frees her throat to sing
For the caged bird
Sings for freedom

Still bearing
In the dusty cage;
Where she spent most of her time
A house, her owner, a cage;
That was all, what she saw
The staining darkness
Have lazed too long
Shoulders falling down like teardrops,
Facedown in ignorance

She has got a magic charm
That she keeps up on her sleeve
Walking on the oceans was her dream
Until she finished daydreaming
Free her out of the cage
Only freedom is what, she wants
