Expats on visit visa must leave the country by Monday, Nov 30th

Expatriates arrived in this country on visit visa, and their visit visas are extended till Nov 30 due to the coronavirus lockdown, must leave the country by the end of day Monday as government clarified that no more extension will be given to them.

Starting from Tuesday, Dec 1st, they will have to pay a fine of 2 KD per day.

Authorities had extended the visit visa for expats more than once during the lockdown and curfew period as most of the countries had shut their airspace. Expatriates who arrived the country on visit visa before the coronavirus pandemic had got more than seven months to stay in Kuwait, and there is no justification for their continuation. If they failed to leave the country on the allowed time limit, in addition to fine, measures would be taken against their sponsors, authorities informed.
