Embassy organized conference on Indian Automobiles; Planning to organize car rally of Indian vehicles in Kuwait

In its continued efforts to push the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India)', Indian Embassy in Kuwait under Indian Business Network (IBN) in collaboration with the Commerce Wing of the Embassy organized a virtual Conference on Indian Automobiles, with special focus on Electric Vehicles.



"The Auto sector is a key component of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which was a clarion call given by Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi," Ambassador Sri Siby George said in his inaugural remarks.

Ambassador shared the phenomenal success story of India on various sectors with the audience. "The transformation in the Indian automobile industry from the old iconic Ambassador car to the wide range of latest cars manufactured in India now is an example of the huge transformation that Indian economy has been witnessing in the last few years or decades," Ambassador said.

"I am told that two vintage Indian Ambassador Cars are plying in the roads of Kuwait these days. I wish to organize a rally of Indian vehicles in Kuwait led by these two Ambassador cars as part of the celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of India's independence day and 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Kuwait that we celebrate next year", Ambassador said.




The event was attended by several people from the business community in Kuwait and India. Shri. K.R. Jyotilal, IAS, Principal Secretary, GAD, Aviation, Metro Transport and Revenue, Government of Kerala, Shri. Mahesh Desai, Chairman, Engineering Exports Promotion Council (EEPC) India, Senior Officials from EEPC and Invest India, Businessmen from India and Kuwait attended the event offline and online.
