Indian Embassy organized legal seminar for the business community

As part of 'Atma Nirbhar Bharath (Self-reliant India), the Indian Embassy in Kuwait organized a legal seminar "Indian Business in Kuwait Growing Partnership" to create awareness among various legal aspects of investment in Kuwait for the business community.

Embassy organized the seminar in association with Al Yaqout and Al Fouzan legal group.

"We see a strong potential coming from India as investments in various sectors, and it will help Kuwait to realize its vision", The managing partner of Al Yaqout and Al Fouzan group Mr Khalifa Al Yaqout said in his introductory speech.

Ms Asma Shah, Associate at Al Yaqout and Al Fouzan group, made a presentation covering various legal intricacies related to conducting business in Kuwait including laws governing commercial aspects, legal entry and exit procedures, etc. She explained various types of partnership including limited liability company, Partnership firm, Franchises, Commercial Agency etc. She also gave in-depth information about Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) where a foreigner can own a 100% ownership of a company in Kuwait. She also explained various legal aspects of inheritance, legal heirs of partner etc.



The team members from the group Ms Asma Shah, Mr Anup Vasu and Ms Nadeem Salah answered various questions raised by the audience, which enlightened them with legal aspects of doing business in Kuwait.

The event was organized by Embassy along with Indian Business Network, which is a platform envisaged by the Embassy of India in Kuwait to connect all Indian business in Kuwait including small and medium enterprises across all sectors.



The Embassy will conduct many more such events in coming days for the benefit of the community, commercial secretary Mr Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri said. The event was conducted by following all covid-19 protocol and was live broadcasted on Embassy social media channels.
