Arts Fest 'Khoj- 2020' Continues Virtually at ICSK Khaitan

While expansion and acquisition of interpersonal skills are exceedingly in high demand, in personal and professional life, how can a responsible institution lag behind once its focus is on self-orientation of students? ICSK Khaitan established entirely a new way of conducting Arts Fest-KHOJ 2020 through virtual platform by overcoming the constraints of the pandemic, featuring several art competitions for students. This year the virtual fest got off to a splendid start on Nov 5th, Thursday morning.
While inaugurating the spectacular event virtually Principal Mr. K.Gangadhar Shirsath said that the co-curricular activities in schools help not only to nurture the latent talents in children, but also to establish healthy linkages with the local cultural milieu. All are born multifaceted personalities and it is the responsibility of the school to ensure that the all-round development of the child takes place through the appropriate activities. The arts fest fundamentally acts as a tool for self-discovery to the young minds, he added.

Forgetting the pandemic, students participated in various events with much fervour and excitement.

This year, the events were conducted class wise from KG to 12th in order to ensure the maximum participation as well as to encourage them to have a Covid break. The stage came alive with various on stage and off stage events such as exhilarating dance performances, fancy dress, storytelling, monoact, instrumental music, singing, drawing, sculpture, debate, quiz etc. Young minds showcased an array of performances which turned out the competitions neck to neck leaving the judgement a herculean task. First, second and third prizes for each event as well as the Winner and Runner-up for securing the maximum marks in each class were also rewarded.

It is important to offer our children the opportunity to showcase their creativity in building their sense of self-esteem and versatile persona. Thus, we are laying the foundations for the emergence of a whole new generation of artists. The management of the school appreciated the spirit of students to participate and perform virtually to vent their talent and expressed satisfaction on the successful conduct of the event on a novel platform with usage of technology at its best.
