Kuwait to introduce high end cameras to read car number plate

Kuwait is planning to introduce high end cameras which can identify and read car plates.

According to Al Anbaa Arabic news paper report, these cameras can read hundreds of panels within a few minutes and then store the plate number and the color of the car, in addition to the geographical location, date and time in a database that can be accessed later whenever required.

These cameras can be installed on the traffic lights or on road signs, and this will be used to monitor violations as well as to track the movement of cars in the country, daily added.
