Officials of Alappuzha Jilla Pravasi Association Kuwait (AJPAK) visited the Indian Ambassador

Representatives of Alappuzha Jilla Pravasi Association Kuwait (AJPAK) met on Indian Ambassador His Excellency Shri. Sibi George. The Ambassador was apprised of the charitable activities carried out by the organization in Kuwait and Alappuzha district for the last 5 years. The office bearers informed that the organization is committed to work for the upliftment of the residents of Alappuzha who are suffering especially from the Kuwaiti Malayalee community.

Rajeev Naduvilemuri, Binoy Chandran, Kurian Thomas, Babu Panampally, Mathew Chennithala, Nainan John, Cyril John Alex Champakulam, Anil Vallikunnam and Prajeesh Mathew were in the group.

The Ambassador requested that people who have been deceived in coming to Kuwait on domestic visas and other work visas should be prepared to hand over the details of the agency, through which they came, to the Embassy.

The association requested that the embassy intervene to obtain information on relatives of patients being treated at various hospitals for Covid-19 treatment, and to expedite the launch of commercial flights to repatriate stranded people to Kuwait. The ambassador assured that the inadequate drainage system in the Jeleeb Shuyoukh (Abbasiya) areas would be brought to the notice of the concerned authorities.

The association requested to observe the blacklisted companies who continue recruiting people from India and that obstacles to the importation of medicines from the homeland be discussed with authorities and matter be resolved. Also brought into the notice the suspension of commercial visit visas and requested Embassy’s intervention to restart the issuance.

The Association appreciated the contributions made and initiatives taken by the Embassy of India and His Excellency Shri Siby George for the upliftment of the Indian community in Kuwait. AJPAK has submitted a detailed memorandum on various issues of Indian society confronting in Kuwait to the attention of the Ambassador.
