Technical failure caused power outages in parts of Kuwait

The Ministry of Electricity announced that a technical failure at the main substation in Salmiya caused power outages in parts of 6 areas including part of Salmiya, Hawalli, Maidan Hawalli, Rumaithiya, Bayan and Jabriya.

The Ministry of Electricity and Water, in a statement said that the emergency teams are currently working on the site to restore the current as soon as possible.

The blackout caused great confusion due to the disruption of traffic lights and the darkening of a large area.
