Bhavans IES Bagged Acharya J.C. Bose Sastra Puraskar for the Fifth Time in Succession

Bhavans Indian Education School bagged the prestigious Acharya J. C. Bose Award for the fifth time in succession by participating in the Science Children’s Congress organised by the Science International Forum, Kuwait which organises activities to kindle and nurture the scientific aptitude of students, paving the path to a wider and brighter future in the field of Scientific research .

A total of 4 indomitable teams (2 from the junior category and 2 from the senior category) represented Indian Education School in the science congress, flaunting their innovative ideas about the Science related research and projects. 3 teams got selected to represent the country in the National Level Congress held in India with the highest score of A+. The fourth team received the Best Presenter Award with a grade of A.

The team IES put in an outstanding performance in the Satraprathibha Contest too.The contest was held at two levels. 763 students from classes 4 to 10 contested at the first level conducted on November 7, 2019. The syllabus of the exam was based on logical reasoning related to the Science curriculum and general knowledge. 24 students cleared the first level of the exam, and they were invited to attend a one-day Science camp held at Kuwait Indian School. The students were tested on various aspects like activities of application of Science in daily life, making of working model from the learnt concepts of the curriculum, discussion and presentation on the topics of major problems affecting the world etc. 8 brilliant students of IES were titled ‘sastraprathibha’ winners of the academic session 2019-2020. The 24 students, who had cleared the first level, were also felicitated for their outstanding performances. Mr. T. Premkumar, principal of Indian Educational School, Kuwait and Mrs. Sindhu Ashok Head of the Biology Department received the overall championship trophy, medals, mementos and certificates from the Mr. Arun, President of Science International forum 2019-20 in the school office on Thursday, the 15th October, 2020 on behalf of the winning team that placed IES on a high pedestal of academic scientific excellence. The management, the parents, and the staff extolled the winners for making their school proud by empirically and elegantly demonstrating their scientific acumen.
