India declare one day state mourning on Oct 4th

As a mark of respect on the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, government of India declare a one day state mourning on Sunday October 4th throughout India.

The National Flag will be flown at half mast on all buildings throughout India where it is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day, government of India announced.

Earlier, the External Affairs Minister of India Dr S Jaishankar signed the condolence book at the Embassy of Kuwait in New Delhi. Dr S Jaishankar extended his deepest condolences on the passing away of HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, late Amir of the State of Kuwait. "A visionary leader and a true friend of India, the immense contributions of His Highness in enhancing our bilateral relations will always be cherished," he said.
