COVID-19 test reports from some Indian labs invalid for Dubai-bound passengers

Regulatory Authorities of Dubai have put out an order stating that RT-PCR tests taken from select labs from India will be rejected. The labs include Suryam Lab in Jaipur, Microhealth Lab in Kerala, Dr. P Bhasin Pathlabs in Delhi and Noble Diagnostic Centre in Delhi.

In this regard, Air India Express (AIE) has announced that test reports from the above labs in India will be rejected for travel to Dubai.

In an “important update for passengers to Dubai” posted on Twitter on Sunday evening, AIE named the labs reports from which will be rejected, based on recommendation from Dubai authorities. “Regulatory authorities in Dubai have recommended Air India Express to reject the RT-PCR test reports from the following laboratories for passengers travelling to Dubai,” the airline stated.

It listed the names of the labs as: Suryam Lab in Jaipur, Microhealth Lab in the cities of Kerala, Dr. P. Bhasin Pathlabs (P) LTD in Delhi and Noble Diagnostic Centre in Delhi.

“It has been further recommended that passengers to Dubai may be advised to obtain pre-travel RT-PCR reports from Pure Health-approved laboratories,” it added.

As per the UAE government rules, each passenger travelling from India need to bring original COVID-negative certificate from RT-PCR test done 96 hours prior to the journey. Several Kuwait bound passengers are traveling to Kuwait via Dubai with a 14 days stay in Dubai as Kuwait continues to ban direct entry of passengers from 34 countries including India.
