The world was not prepared and I too never thought that a pandemic will attack us and the world will come to a standstill. Our life turned topsy turvy. The regular happy relax life changed to an uncertain life without school, friends, social outings and vacations. I thought life will be bleak without things that normally surround me in normal days. I thought I will terribly miss being physically present in the school, miss the playground, the activities, my teachers and my friends. But as days progressed surprisingly I did not miss my school, did not miss being physically present in the school. Now with online classes I am gaining knowledge and with the help of wonderful applications, I am in regular touch with my dear family and friends .Thanks to technology that virtual classroom is a reality. I am able to connect and video chat with my dear ones from my living room. A regular day, attending school takes most of our time. But now I am getting time to learn and explore things that I never thought I would do. Also the lockdown is a blessing in disguise as I am utilizing my free time in learning new skill like coding, trying different forms of art and craft as it’s a therapy for me and learning to play songs on keyboard and violin. Every year we go on vacation and we have loads of pictures. During this lockdown I am able to ensure that memories like this are treasured by making a photo album cum scrap book of our vacations. It has also been in my List-of-things-to-Do for a long time. Without challenges life can be boring. Lately I am getting fascinated by Sudoku puzzles and I put my brain to test by trying to solve it. Also with so many virtual museum tours available, I am able to go on vacation while enjoying the cozy warmth of my bed. Free online libraries, homeschooling and educational websites have opened the gate wide to the world of knowledge to explore in this pandemic. Moreover I started my own YouTube channel “Learn and Enjoy with Bora’s”. I am getting time to turn my dreams and ideas into reality. What more do I ask?
