The Virtual Voyage - Carmel School Kuwait Celebrates Virtual Teacher’s Day 2020.

“The Virtual Voyage, A celebration of love and gratitude as we would be virtually lost without you.” was the special feeling generated as the Management and Students of Carmel School Kuwait, organized Teacher’s Day 2020.

It was an awe inspiring virtual journey through the adventures of a real celebration. Albeit virtual, the students managed to bind the teachers and overwhelm them in a complete surprise bonanza that virtually took them around the world meeting old pupils and new. The poems and messages by the children were relayed live and had a deep heartwarming effect on the guests of the day. The scintillating dances performed with unusual backdrops, in lobbies and on terraces, were truly mesmerizing and the group songs were the manifestation of epiphany.

The much awaited games were unique and though, played by all from the confines of their own homes, generated great competitive contests and filled the teachers with childish delight. The Virtual Treasure Home Safari made the teachers think quickly and scuttle to find the object in question. The Spin Around the Globe made them use the fastest finger first to answer the brainteasers.

The programme ended with the enlightened words of the Principal Sr. Christy Maria, who congratulated and blessed the teachers for their accomplishments, emphasizing on the need for teachers to be more sensitive and considerate in these days of Covid crisis.

On behalf of the teachers a vote of thanks was given, underlining the great effort put in by the students to make the day so special.’ When the going gets tough, tough gets going’ was amply proved by the young generation who adapted and raised themselves to achieve the unimaginable in these unusual times. Truly brilliant…Truly EXCELSIOR!!
