Kuwait Engineers Forum Officials meet HE the Indian Ambassador Sri Sibi George

On 31st August, a team of Kuwait Engineers Forum (KEF) officials led by General Convener Abdul Sageer and Accreditation Convener Santhosh Kumar met with the new Ambassador of India to State of Kuwait. Top of the agenda was the challenges faced by Indian Engineers with regards to the accreditation formalities.

The General Convener congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his duties in Kuwait, welcomed to Kuwait and wished him all success here.
H.E. introduced himself and his panel of officers including DCM and 3 first secretaries and KEF reciprocated.

A slideshow on KEF’s vision, mission, structure, activities and initiatives was presented by GC Abdul Sageer. A copy of KEF member directory was handed over to H.E. The Ambassador appreciated KEF on their unity and their contribution towards the Indian community in their home country as well as in Kuwait.

Convener of Accreditation Santosh Kumar explained the issues faced by the Engineering community in Kuwait today. Elaborated the timeline for the understanding of H.E., joint efforts by KEF, TEF and PPF and suggested way forward. Turn by turn all the delegates explained the hardship the community is undergoing and shared their experience too.
H.E. Ambassador and his team were very empathetic towards our issue and promised to take adequate measures to reduce the burden on Engineers. H. E reported that negotiations were already in progress to quickly resolve the issues around NOC issuance.

Embassy is hosting Open houses on Wednesdays and the next session is earmarked to discuss Engineers’ predicaments. The Forum has promised the Embassy full cooperation to resolve the NOC issues and thanked the Ambassador for being proactive.

KEF officials Abraham Isac, Arun Davidson, Shyam Mohan and Mathen John were also present in the meeting.
