Hold The Phone… No wait!!!!! It’s my teacher!

You know I’ve always wondered just how teachers don’t mind calling you ‘dear’. I’m never calling ANYONE dear even if I’m a centenarian and am talking to a five year old. Have you ever thought of that? Or am I all alone in this uh… thought world… #ForeverLonely

Now that I think about it… I don’t have the right to call myself lonely considering the fact I have the world’s best friends… R, A, Z and… my teachers!!! (Wasn’t that a clever little way to not disclose off names? Hah! I’m a genius… Mr. Privacy… Saviour.)

Have you heard of Time travelling machines? Let’s talk about that!!! (Mythical Beasts… I see you...)

If you haven’t, then you gotta deal with it as… I’m too lazy to explain it to you, you see. So… let’s begin the process!

Alright… we’re in the machine, all ready to go! Ooooooh! Glimmering Blue button! Should I press it?!! OH YEAH!!!

“WoooooOoOoOoOoOoO” as your vision reduces to mere darkness before your eyes are serenaded with a close up of my ten year old self, crying herself to sleep.

Uh… yeah that was a dramatic change of events wasn’t it. Let’s simply say all those years ago I was drowned with a very specific dark cloud. Mr. Friend Distancing.
And our buddy, Mr. Friend Distancing here arrived because… my friends distanced themselves from me and let’s just say I wasn’t happy.

It was then, when two years later, a beautiful and elegant white cloud throttled over the path to me. Ms. Teacher as your bestie, she was called, as she came over to me, bruised but beaming.

“Hi Abhipsa!! How are you doing?!!” she asked, smiling while wincing slightly from the wounds.

“I thought it was obvious, wasn’t it. The path over here, to my mind wasn’t exactly smooth, should’ve told you quite a bit.” I asked, my knees clutched to my chest and my arms wrapped tightly around this weird concoction of a position in which my legs were in.

“Well… I see you’ve met with Mr. Friend Distancing, huh? Sir, would you mind if I accompany her for a whi-…”

“Oh sure thing!! I swear she’s so boring. No anger or hatred but just cries all day, blaming herself. O’ please free me from this extremely not-fun hostage. Goodbye!!” screeched Mr. Friend Distancing as I watched him turn into a mere blur before disappearing into the distance.

“Well… that was easy wasn’t it dear? Oh!” squeaked Ms. Teacher as your bestie, shocked at what she said.

“I guess so yeah. What are you all about? You just called me dear for reason I really don’t understand or know and you seem shocked about it.”

“Oh you’ll see, just attend school tomorrow. Alright?!! And be yourself okay!! It wasn’t your fault at all!!” and she left, zooming into nothingness at the horizon.
Well that just happened… hey who thought that was me a couple of years ago. Firstly let’s say goodbye to Time Machiney for helping us out! Byeeeee!!

Confused? Well you certainly must be! You just saw me talk to clouds and cry… yeah… not the most explainable events to occur. So… let me explain.

About three years ago I was in a trio and we would always hangout. Now one of them left our school and I never saw them again and the other got distant. Let’s call them, D. Now D got distant, in the sense they slowly stopped talking to me. I soon found myself, trying desperately to know what was wrong with me, what I did wrong which made everyone distance themselves from me.

It was then when I was in a dark phase, never showed it or told it to anyone but kept it inside while putting up a fake enthusiasm. This event in my life forced me under the hostage of Mr. Friend Distancing. Soon this fake enthusiasm turned into a reality and became my personality only because of one of the greatest decisions I have ever made in the thirteen years of my life. I decided to make teachers, my friends.

They never judged, never distanced themselves and never made you feel like you weren’t good enough. They were like Ms. Teacher as your Bestie, wounded and tired after all their relentless efforts to get to you but still smile when they reach you. They never put a pressure on you to be the perfect human or be aware of every one of your actions. They are simply perfect, their talk, their ways, their everything. I’ve always tried to sit in the front row just so I could talk to them. Not to be the ‘Teacher’s pet’ or whatever they call it. I wanted to be their friend.

They never backed away from helping me, something which I still don’t understand to this day. They saved me from stealing away into a place from which I probably couldn’t have ever come back from.

They’ve taught me a lot, it almost sounds cliché doesn’t it. It has been told so many times on teacher’s day that now it doesn’t ever sound like a language. But I do mean it.

“I HAVEEEEEE ONEEEE MOREEEE THINGGGG TOOOO SHOWWWW YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!” croaked Time Machiney, it’s engines roaring with a clank and clutter as Time Machiney almost jumped up and down on spot.

I guess we have another sight to see!!! Well… what are we waiting for??!!! Let’s goo!!!!

Ooooh!!!! A shiny yellow button!!!! Pres-… We’re doing it folks!!!!

“WoOoOoOoO” as yet again your vision blurs into darkness before you open your eyes into another close-up of me, bleeding…

“Abhipsa are you okay!!!!” yelled a tall figure with an angelic voice as she ran towards me, concern drowning over every feature of her motherly face.

“Yeah ma’am!!” I said, adrenaline hiding all my pain. My heart beating fast as it melted with a comforting tinge, as I saw the worry on her look.

“You’re bleeding really badly!!” she said uneasily, as red blood reflected in her dark eyes.

“Yeah? Cool!”

Wait what?!! That’s it?!! Oh come on Time Machiney!!”

“I GAVEEEE YOUUUU ALLLL OFFF ITTTTT!!! GOODDDDDD BYEEEEEEE!!!” screeched Time Machiney before jetpacks stuck out either one of its doors and it flew, a golden flame roaring under the jetpacks.

“Well… will someone care to explain then?!!”

Alright?!! Well this took place about five years ago when my naïve self decided to split open her right eyebrow. Well that part of it was not exactly heartwarming but the concern that my teacher had was so… pleasant? Never have I seen so much concern in the eye of another who wasn’t in my family.

Write? Teachers, Read? Teachers, Morals? Teachers. Pretty much everything in our lives coincides with teachers and their teachings.

How about a call or a card or just a thank you to your beloved teachers? Why? Well why not?!! You don’t need a reason or an excuse to thank your wonderful teachers.
Well… as Time Machiney is gone… no more time travelling...? But the phone ain’t getting out of my or your hostage today!

Oh! I gotta go, getting a call from my teacher you see. Before we leave, remember don’t judge, don’t hate but love your teachers and everyone around you. A VERY HAPPY TEACHER’S DAYYYY!!!!

Until Next time!
- A 13 year old student!
