AIIMS BEC Online Kalolsavam, 2020 – Grand Finale Closing Ceremony

AIIMS Kuwait magnificently concludes a two-month prolonged Online Kalolsavam

AIIMS Kuwait (Alternative Integral Initiative for Mutual Support, Kuwait), a socially committed humanitarian organization carrying out an array of humanitarian activities like medical assistance 24/7, food kit distribution, grocery supplies, rent discounts and counselling sessions which are handled by experts to ease off the anxiety and depression caused by COVID fear and making the lockdowns a fruitful and commendable experience by reaching out to many. AIIMS front liners, etching out to the community with their selfless service, are angels in human form in every respect who gave relief, care, and comfort to the suffering human beings. Their humane care and attendance have a kind of spirituality and healing power as a vital cog in the wheel of humility. To date, AIIMS have provided 5000 food kits, 10,000 food packets, over 3000 medical supplies, hospital assistance, and free airway tickets to the ones in need in Kuwait. This was accomplished by coordinating through 50 WhatsApp groups, nearly 300 members in the organizing committee and 50 members in the technical committee.

AIIMS started its journey and today it has reached a point to be revered upon as the community adores the selfless, indomitable will power and dedication of AIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020 (Online Youth Festival) which sprouted up with the perception of providing an opportunity to nurture the hidden talents of children who were confined to the four walls of their houses due to the COVID fear that is escalating. AIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020, a thoroughly maiden cultural potpourri venture, during the COVID pandemic crisis for children from 3 years of age to the teens, has become the talk of the town. The privacy of the nook in one’s home has become the podium and the laptop or the mobile has turned into the proscenium. AIIMS Online Kalolsavam was conducted by meticulously beating off all restriction, facing a lot of challenges with an array of 910 participants in 6 categories for 9 events, an exquisite panel of 30 judges from all across the globe for a Phase 1 competition. The Grand Finale was conducted on August 1, 2020 with 210 participants and the results were declared on August 15, 2020, by magnificently concluding a two-month prolonged Online Kalolsavam in a well-organized Zoom meet telecasted Live on AIIMS Kuwait Facebook Page.

The Closing Ceremony of AIIMS Online Kalolsavam, 2020 - Grand Finale in zoom started off with a Majestic entry by our Anchor Mr. T.R. Rajesh (Steering Committee Member) welcoming the guests. The programme commenced with a video presentation of the Kalolsavam Theme song, composed by Smt. Sindhu Ramesh (Convener, AlIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020), followed by a Prayer song rendered by Sri. Mahesh Iyer (Chairman, Jury of Appeal, Kalolsavam 2020). A beautifully choreographed invocatory dance by DK Dance World, took the occasion to a hike. The Independence Day messaged was addressed by Mr. Sam Nandhiyattu (Program Convener, AlIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020), followed by Mr. N.S. Jayan (Reception Convener, AIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020) paying a Tribute to the departed Soldiers and Heroes and Victims of COVID -19. Mr. Habibulla Muttichoor the Co-ordinator, AIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020 gave the welcome speech followed by a brief introduction by Mr. Manikuttan Edakkatu the General Convener, AlIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020

Mr. Babuji Bathery, the Chairman of AlIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020, gave the presidential address and the Closing Ceremony was inaugurated by Kalarathnam Padmasree Dr. K.G. Jayan. An auspicious beginning by lighting the traditional lamp by Dr. K.G. Jayan at his premises and rendering along a Ganapthi stuthi gave a heavenly touch to the occasion. The Chief Guest of AIIMS Online Kalolsavan was Dr. C.V. Anandha Bose (One Member Commission, Advisory Council of the Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India) who very gracefully accepted our invitation to be a part of the Grand Finale. Mr. D.K. Dileep the convenor of AlIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020 gave a brief introduction of the Kalolsavam Jury Panel, followed by a felicitation speech by Mr. Manjunath, member of the jury.

The Grand Finale zoom met was graced by many dignitaries in Kuwait which includes Mr. Somu Mathew (Memebr of Jury, AIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020) Mr. Mathew Varghese (Country Head, BEC), Mr. T. A. Varghese ( MD, Gulf Advance Technologies), Mr. Mahesh Iyyer (Chairman, Jury of Appeal, Kalolsavam 2020), Mr. Chessil Ramapuram (Advisor, AIIMS ), Mr. Sathar Kunnil (Advisor, AIIMS ), Mr. Murali Panickar (Advisor, AIIMS ), Mr. Asif (Flat Rent Discount Campaign. Steering Committee Member, AIIMS). Mr. Vibheesh Thikody (Counselling Dept, Steering Committee Member, AlIMS), Mr. Mejith Kuruppumthara (Hospital Assistance Dept. The Grand Finale closing ceremony was concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Joby Kaleekal (Technichal Convener, AIIMS Online Kalolsavam 2020)
