Center For India Studies(CIS-Kuwait) organized webinar on Current Gulf NRI problems and possibilities.

The webinar was conducted as part of a study Analysing the Complex Problems being faced by the NRIs as a whole at the time of the pandemic and the impacts having on the various sectors, survival and the possibilities there after.

Dr Surendra Nayak, (President of Indian Doctors Forum & Advisor CIS Kuwait) inaugurated the Webinar with the declaration of the results of Thalir-2020 -Microgreen Contest held as part of World Environment Day Celebrations

Dr. C. V. Anandabose IAS (One Man Expert Commission - Advisory Committee, Ministry of Labour, Government of India) delivered the keynote address.

Dr C V Anandabose added that vigorous efforts were being made to set up a national authority for the comprehensive protection of the health, wealth, education and pensions of expatriates, and that a comprehensive report was being prepared with recommendations for the implementation of a special expatriate health scheme with the assistance of the Central and State Governments.

Establishment of a special economic zone for expatriate investors is also being recommended.

CIS General Secretary Sreejith Nair welcomed the gathering with Vibheesh Thikkodi delivering the Presidential address.

Based on the ideas, issues and thoughts received from the webinar, a detailed report will be prepared and submitted by Centre for Indian Studies to the Indian Embassy, Central and State Governments and various authorities.
