The outbreak of the Coronavirus disease has created a global health crisis that has had a very huge impact on how we perceive our world and our everyday lives. It has had an impact on our society, economy, education, sports, lifestyle and environment. I mean who would have even thought about it. First started in December of 2019, even then people would have not known how fast would it spread and how it would take over the world within a few months. Well, the impact of Covid-19 has been positive in some cases and negative in some cases.

When we talk about our economy, the impact of Covid-19 has been huge. Various events which had been organized like the Olympics, Euro, Dubai Expo 2020 and many hundreds of events have been cancelled regarding religious ceremonies, sports events, military events, award ceremonies and various conferences and trade shows as well. This situation has caused a huge loss of money, billions and trillions of dollars. It has also affected the stock market and caused a huge blow in the economy of the world. Exporting and importing of items has been stopped. It is a huge blow for all the people as well because millions of them have lost their jobs all over the world and there is a massive number of unemployed people where as people who are lucky enough to continue their jobs have faced salary cut issues. People working in smaller companies have become unemployed and companies have failed. On the other hand, larger companies have started reducing their staff and cutting salaries. Overall, Covid-19’s impact on economy is huge and is negative.

Next in the list is education. As gatherings have been disallowed, schools, universities and colleges all around the world have been closed. As of the last few days, almost 2 billion learners and students education around the world has been affected due to the Coronavirus. Some students are using E-learning as a means of education whereas some of them are unable to do so. So, the overall effect of Covid-19 on education is neutral. It is positive for those who have the facilities for E-learning, whereas majority of the students are not yet aware of E-learning and in that case, it is negative.

In our social lives, the impact of Covid-19 can be seen in politics. In countries like China, the USA and India, the people are not very happy and satisfied with the decisions of the government. They have been protesting against the government for the lack of essential supplies and in many places in India, the health system is not very efficient and everyday all over the world, we see several videos of people suffering from Coronavirus on social media and even on the news. Many people have lost their lives and many have lost their loved ones. This is a time we should all be together to support each other and ask God for his mercy. With all these social distancing measures and prohibition of gatherings has made a difference in our social lives, like how we shake hands and hug each other and gather together with our friends and family is a part of our social life and we can’t do it as we have to take some precautions is totally different like the old times. Who would have even thought such a time would come.

Finally, we talk about the impact of Coronavirus on the environment. This is the only area where the impact of this disease is huge but totally positive and beneficial for both us and the environment. Coronavirus has contributed largely for the betterment of the environment. Air pollution and carbon emission from industries has been reduced due to the closure of industries. Reduction of deforestation and the natural growth of more and more plants and trees is very good for the environment. The ozone layer problem has also been resolved and the ozone layer has become stronger and sustainable due to the less emission of harmful gases.

Overall, Coronavirus has changed the entire world completely and in some cases it is positive whereas in other cases it is negative. There is still no cure for this disease and it is most obvious that we have to live with this virus for the next year or so. Stay at home and stay safe and we will remove this virus from the face of the earth.
