No decision yet on moving to third phase and removing Farwaniya lockdown

The Kuwait Cabinet today did not take any decision regarding moving to the third stage of return to normalcy plan.

Farwaniya lockdown will continue until further announcement.

Today's cabinet meeting decided that the new academic year in Kuwait will begin on October 4, 2020, through online learning platforms.

During the press conference, to a question on the date for lifting the lockdown in Farwaniya, the government spokesman, Tariq Al-Muzram said that the cabinet is awaiting the opinion of the health authorities.

Earlier, it was expected that the cabinet will announce its plan on moving to the third stage and removing the lockdown in Farwaniya area its crucial meeting today. According to initial plan, the third stage of return to normalcy is supposed to start on Tuesday, July 21st.
