MoH allows periodic leave for staff

The Ministry of Health now allowed its employees to apply for their periodic leave, between July 19 to October 1, provided that they do not have periodic leave during the previous six months in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Earlier, when the corona pandemic started, the Ministry had stopped its employees from taking their periodic leave in order to fight the pandemic.

According to the new circular, the leave period does not exceed 14 days. If the leave is spent outside the country, the requirements of public health and the technical management of home quarantine related to health sector workers apply.

The circular also says that the percentage of employees enjoying leave does not exceed 15% of the workforce in any period.
