MoH set guidelines for opening mosques for Friday prayer

As Kuwait will open mosques for Friday prayer from next Friday, authorities announce the list of precautionary measures to follow while opening the mosque for Friday prayers.

The Ministry of health set conditions for holding Friday prayers as follows:

The mosques will open half an hour before the Friday prayer, which is sufficient to ensure that the worshipers enter in an orderly manner by keeping physical distance.

Entry is allowed only for men between the age group of 18 and 50 years who do not suffer from any chronic diseases.

The worshipers are obliged to wear a face mask throughout his presence in the mosque.

The distance between the worshipers should not be less than one and a half meters. Each worshipper must bring his personal prayer mat.

All the doors must be kept open for entry and exit to reduce crowding between worshipers.

Entry is allowed to a specified number of worshipers only according to the total area available inside the mosque.

Entry and exit process are regulated by applying the physical spacing and checking the temperature. Entry will be denied for those with high temperature.

Sufficient quantities of sterilizers, hand sanitizers and tissue paper must be kept inside the mosque.

Duration of the Friday sermon will be reduced to 5 minutes.

It is recommended that the worshipers leave the mosque immediately after the end of the prayer by ensuring physical distance.
