ICAI Kuwait Chapter conducts webinar on Demystifying Bitcoin

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Kuwait Chapter conducted webinar on Demystifying Bitcoin on 27th June 2020 for the benefit of its member.

The webinar began with a welcome address by CA Kaizar Shakir, Chairman ICAI Kuwait chapter. CA Kaizar briefed all the attendees about the upcoming events. He also enlightened the members on CA day virtual celebration, which will take place on 1st July 2020 and which will mark the revival on e-newsletter “Jagruti, The awakening…”. CA Kaizar then invited CA Sriram Gopalakrishnan to welcome the speaker of the event.

CA Sriram introduced the speaker Mr. Pradeep Rajagopalan, Director Audit at Kamco invest. Mr Pradeep explained the modus operandi of cryptocurrency in a simplified approach with lots of examples. He also explained the risks and challenges associated with bitcoin. Attendees actively participated in various polls during the sessions as well as to multiple questions raised by the speaker during the sessions.

The session was well received by the audience of over 70 members. The event was concluded with Vote of Thanks by CA Anup Dhand.
