Pathanamthitta District Association elected office Bearers and Executive Committee for the Period 2020-2021

Pathanamthitta District Association, Kuwait held it’s Annual General Body Meeting on Friday, 12th June 2020 in a Virtual Meeting set-up and elected it’s new Office Bearers and Executive Committee. At the General Body meeting presided over by President, Shri. Oommen George, General Secretary Shri. Martin Mathew presented Association’s Annual Performance Report and the Treasurer Shri. Lalu Jacob, presented the Financial Report. Joint Secretary Shri. Vinu Kallali rendered the Welcome Speech and General Secretary Shri. Martin Mathew expressed Vote of Thanks.
At the Election which followed was led by the Advisory Board Member and Presiding Officer, Shri. Rajan Thottathil, new Office Bearers and Executive Committee for the period 2020-2021 were elected as follows:-
Shri Samuelkutty - President, Shri. Martin Mathew - General Secretary, Shri. Charls George Vennikkulam – Treasurer, Shri. Benny Pathanamthitta – Vice President, Shri. Lalu Jacob – Vice President, Shri. Aby Athikkayam – General Convener, Shri. Vinu Kallali, Joint Secretary, Smt. Jinju Shaitust – Joint Secretary, Shri. Thomas John Adoor – Charity & Welfare Convener, Shri. M.J. George – Community Support Coordinator, Shri. Saji Abraham – Publicity Convener, Shri. Rajendran – Media Coordinator, Shri. Reghubal Thundiyil – Social Media Coordinator, Smt. Ani Binu – Ladies Wing Chairperson, Smt. Kalaivani Santhosh - Ladies Wing General Secretary, Smt. Rajeena Lathif - Ladies Wing Vice Chairperson.
The newly elected Executive Committee consists of 25 Members and 10 Advisory Board Members including the Advisory Board Chairman, who are Senior Members of the Association with long experience in community support and services and capable talented fresh faces with creditable record in social and cultural activities fields.
Outgoing President, Shri. Oommen George will continue in the leadership of the Association enacting the role of Patron as well as Executive Committee Member. Senior Advisory Board Member Shri. Geethakrishnan will act as Advisory Board Chairman.
As in the past, in this Coronavirus outbreak inflicted period of helplessness, miseries and despair, Pathanamthitta District Association have been active and have proved it’s mettle and credentials as a dedicated, honest and efficient social and humanitarian services vehicle. The Association is extending timely support to its members, natives and other needy persons in the migrant community by serving medicines, food kits, and other basic necessities, providing financial help, intervening on behalf of neglected workers terminated from services helping them to get their indemnities and return Air Tickets and facilitating the travel of a good number of the sick, suffering, jobless, lonely, stranded and other deserving people in the Government evacuation and chartered flights.
Pathanamthitta District Association seeks the support and cooperation of all its honorable members and natives of Pathanamthitta District residing in Kuwait, whoever wish to be a part of our Association and partake in our efforts and services, as well as all our well-wishers in the Indian community in Kuwait and respectable and prominent personalities and local citizens in Pathanamthitta District, to continue Association’s noble efforts in the service of humanity and to fulfil the goals and objectives the Association stand for.
