When I was in my early child hood, I used to see my grandparents do yoga regularly in the morning to keep themselves fit and healthy.
In India some people run yoga class for free in the school premises ; regardless that the person is poor or rich male or female . Everyone going there can get benefited .

So I thought that I would pen down something about yoga.

Yoga a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. Man is a physical, mental and spiritual being; Yoga helps in developing the balance between all the three as stated in Ayurveda in India.

Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India. Yoga is one of the six Astika (orthodox) schools of Hindu philosophical traditions. There are a wide variety of yoga schools, practices and goals in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. In the Western world the term "yoga" often refers to hatha yoga as a practice and a modern form of yoga, which largely involves asanas .

The practice of yoga has been considered for pre-Vedic Indian traditions; Probably in the Indus Valley Civilization around 3000 BCE. Yoga is mentioned in the Rigveda, and it is also mentioned in the Upanishads. However, yoga flourished most in the ascetic and .rama developed a movements of ancient India as a systematic study around the 5th and 6th centuries BCE. The chronology of early texts describing yogic practices is clearly considered to be Upanishads.

The founder of Yoga, Patanjali stated, "Sthiram sukham asanam." It implies that a posture that appears to be firm and agreeable is your asana. Patanjali's yoga sutras gained prominence in the West from the second century BCE, and in the 20th century after being first introduced by Swami Vivekananda.

Yoga gurus of India later introduced yoga to the West following the success of Swami Vivekananda at the end of the 19th century and with their adaptation of the yoga tradition in the early 20th century, except asanas. Outside India, it has evolved into a posture-based physical fitness, stress-relieving and relaxation technique.

“Mental health is of utmost importance to see through these challenging times. Most people are not able to relax and forcibly try to relax which results in greater stress,” says Mudit Dandwate, a yoga professional and co-founder of Dozee, a contact-free health monitor that tracks heartbeat, respiration, sleep and stress-recovery.

Over the last few decades, there has been an upsurge in the prevalence of yoga. Medical professionals and celebrities are also adopting and recommending the regular practice of yoga due its various benefits. Yoga as a practice has innumerable benefits that positively affect an individual both physically and mentally. Whether it is reducing your blood pressure or raising your pain tolerance.

Yoga transforms your life and broadens your horizons in ways you can never imagine.
