The members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) wholeheartedly responded to the call to help distressed members of the society in Kuwait. The COVID 19 pandemic resulted in the closures of many small businesses, job losses and pay cuts which has affected large number of people in Kuwait. Responding to the humanitarian challenge, the members of the chapter immediately pooled together their resources and distributed around 300 dry grocery packets all around Kuwait to affected families. These packets consisted of the basic needs for a family for about 2 to 3 weeks. The effort was led by the Chairman of Kuwait Chapter Mr. Kaizar Shakir along with few Committee members.

In the last two months, ICAI Kuwait Chapter has donated an amount of KD 2,500 to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and INR 2.5 lac to the PM Cares fund in India. The Chapter firmly believes the tenet “TOGETHER WE CAN” in both its professional and social activities.
