ICAI Kuwait Chapter conducted its 13th AGM through Webinar

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Kuwait Chapter conducted its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 30th May 2020. The event was followed with a Continuing Professional Education Program (CPE) exclusively for the benefit of its members.

CA Kaizar Shakir was elected as the new Chairman of the Kuwait Chapter for the year 2020-21. The webinar began with a welcome address by CA Sai Devata (former Chairman) highlighting achievements of all the activities and events conducted during the last year. CA Sai welcomed the new Chairman CA Kaizar Shakir to take over and formally introduce his team.
CA Kaizar Shakir delivered the chairman's message, officially introduced the new team and articulated the vision and strategy to be adopted for the year 2020-21. He also welcomed CA Deepak Bindal as Vice Chairman, CA Sriram Gopalakrishnan as Secretary, CA Rabindranath Gonsalves as the Treasurer & other Office Bearers.

As part of ICAI's Continuing Professional Educational Program, a webinar session on ‘Transforming Finance and Accounting Using Robotics Process Automation’ was held by CA Dayaniwas Sharma, Central Council Member ICAI and Vice Chairman Digital Assurance Board, ICAI along-with CA Saurabh Goenka, Finance Transformation Expert and Business Head at MindMap Consulting.
CA Saurabh explained various aspects of Robotics Process and its growing demand especially during ongoing pandemic as every company is under immense pressure to evolve and automate their processes to make them leaner and efficient. The session was well received by the audience of over 90 members. The event was concluded with Vote of Thanks by the former secretary CA Deepak Bindal.

The Chapter is a professional association of Indian chartered accountants with a strength of more than 500 plus members and its objective is to provide its members with professional and social networking opportunities.
